Gran Canaria is known as the “Island of Eternal Spring.” During our visit, average daytime temperatures typically range from 68–75°F. Evenings near the ocean can be breezy, so bringing a light sweater is recommended.

Currency in Spain

Spain uses the Euro (€). Credit cards are widely accepted in restaurants, shops, and taxis, but it is helpful to carry a small amount of cash for cafés, taxis, or smaller local shops.

Electrical Outlets

Spain uses Type C and Type F electrical outlets with a 230V voltage system. Most modern electronics such as phone chargers and laptops are dual voltage, but you will need a European plug adapter for your devices.
